Lucky came into our life in April 2017 after being rescued in Romania the month before. My husband and I (then boyfriend and girlfriend) were buying our first home together and not yet thinking about having a dog. However, that soon changed the moment we found out about Lucky.
After being fostered in Romania for a month, she was able to make her way to the UK to meet us. She had a very rocky start, as when she was found, there were visible cuts around her neck and signs that she had had puppies before that sadly could not make it through.
Like every rescue dog, Lucky was shy at first but soon found her feet. Living in a family community enabled us to make new friends quickly and Lucky absolutely loved meeting new people and playing with new dogs as her confidence grew. Fast forward a few years and Lucky played a very special part on our wedding day and later on became our daughter’s best friend.
